We are two soulmates who are crazy about each other and our kids. We love Jesus and want to live a life of bold faith, simplicity and generosity, willing to say "yes" to Him at all costs.
After escaping survival mode and embarking on God's life-giving adventure for our family, we became passionate about helping other families do the same.

STAGE 1 • DREAM
Lesson 1: Course Overview and Clearing Space
Let's set you up for success! We'll give you a detailed overview of the course content and help you find space in your current rhythm to do the work of this course.
Lesson 2: The Not-So-Magic Wand
In this lesson we will get clarity on the dreams you have for your family and help you begin to reverse engineer the life you want. We will help you face down the limiting beliefs that are holding you back and unhealthy patterns from your family of origin that you are deathly afraid of. Then we'll use these dreams to form a new family vision.
STAGE 2 • DEFINE
Lesson 3: Driving Desires
Your driving desires form one of the four main points of your Family Compass. Clarifying what you truly want and lining that up with God's purpose for your family are the bedrock foundation of creating generational change in your family. In this lesson, we will work together to finalize the Driving Desires you began to shape in the Escape Survival Mode video series and help you immediately begin to make better trade-offs in every area of your life.
Lesson 4: The Table
This lesson will shake up your life more than any other in the whole course. We will lead you through an exercise called "The Table". First, you will do hard but good work that will give you a comprehensive snapshot of your life and home in this moment. Then it will give you a clear and powerful path to re-arranging your life around your new Driving Desires. This will be a turning point in your family.
STAGE 3 • DESIGN
Lesson 5: Designing Your Family Culture
Your family's culture is the most powerful tool that God has given you to cultivate the life of peace, connection and adventure that you long for. We will discover together the power of culture and also uncover God's call on your life to be the shepherd of the culture of your home.
Lesson 6: Be the guard dog!
No one else will guard your family culture. That is your distinct and weighty responsibility. You will learn practical steps you can take to stoke the passion to keep your family from ever returning to survival mode.
Lesson 7: Getting Ready For Risk
God wants to take you on an unexpected journey. You may already have a sense that the seasons are changing and he is calling you to set out on a new trail, to write a new chapter to your story. In this lesson, we will help you make practical preparations before you take the leap in the areas of finances, occupation, relationships, health and education.
STAGE 4 • DEDICATE
Lesson 7: Re-design Your Family Rhythms
Your family rhythms - weekly rhythms and sacred rhythms - are the next vital point on your family compass. Your weekly rhythms form the backbone of your home. If don't define them, someone or something else will. You must own and lead your family in rhythms of work, rest, and play. You will create a template for your ideal week and learn three simple techniques for moving this from wishful thinking to reality.
Lesson 9: Restoring the Sacred Rhythms
In a world where it seems that nothing is sacred, families like ours are rebuilding sacred spaces, events, practices and moments in our lives. These sacred rhythms are the heartbeat of your home and life! They will create the deep connections with God and one another that you long for.
Lesson 10: Teach them diligently
This is where it gets fun! We'll show you the simple plan for inviting God's word and his presence into your home throughout the week. Then you will learn how to easily practice foundational spiritual disciplines within your weekly rhythm.
STAGE 5 • DELIGHT
Lesson 11: Your family's uniqueness
Your family as been designed by God in a completely unique and original way for a distinct purpose. We'll work together to uncover and clearly detail the treasure and literal super-powers that God has woven into your family's DNA.
Lesson 12: A Generational Vision: Bold, Joyful, Creative Kingdom Building
This is where we have been headed this whole time! The reason you are on this adventure is not just for you and your family to live in peace, but so you could be freed to play your vital part in building God's Kingdom for generations to come. Now that your Family Compass is complete, you are ready to launch into a new season of adventure for Him, by Him and through Him!

A note from us...
We remember how scary it was to stand on the edge of the starting line in our own escape from survival mode. We were tired, on the edge of burning out and didn't want to do something that would screw up our kids down the road. We had doubts and fears about the journey ahead. We knew what we wanted but we didn't know what we were supposed to do.
Thankfully we were more afraid of saying "No" to God than falling flat on our faces and failing... so we put everything on the table and gave God free rein to turn our lives upside down... which he did... in the most wonderful way possible.
We didn't want to wake up a decade later and have to tell our kids how God called us to take the road less travelled but we were too afraid to go.
God put this prayer in our hearts from the very start of our journey,
"GOD, INCREASE OUR CAPACITY TO TRUST YOU."
WARNING: This is a very risky prayer, but if God is real and Jesus is the ONE true savior of the world, then what other option is there than to surrender it all to him and trust him to direct your steps?
You must settle the answer to this one question on your heart, "Can God be trusted?" Because, if he can be trusted, then everything else... and we mean EVERYTHING... will be ok.
Once we settled that question in our hearts, we made the decision to go and never turn back.
Because... on the other side of fear is a life of peace, abundance and adventure that God has dreamed up and specifically designed for YOU!
Isaiah 26:3 says,
"You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you."

1. Will this program work?
We wish we could promise that The Family Compass will work like a magic pill, but we can't. YOU are the only one that can commit and put the work in but if you follow the process and are willing to take radical action, you will see results (and quickly)!
2. Things are pretty hectic in our lives right now, should we wait for a better time?
Whenever you ask older parents about their experience raising kids, what do they ALWAYS say? "I know you don't believe me, but it flies by so fast!" There will never be a better time than right now. Either take the leap now or don't. Waiting for a better time just deepens the ruts you are in. Most of our families have joined at inconvenient times in their lives, but they never regretted making the choice to do it anyway. The Family Compass is designed in a way that allows you to build momentum quickly and helps you clear out margin in your life almost immediately.
3. What if I can't afford it?
The truth is that we invest in what we care about and we value most what we choose to invest in. "Where your treasure is, there our hearts and thoughts will be also." If you're going to take this seriously, you are going to have to make an investment that makes it matter to you. 7. I've tried other things and failed miserably. I'm afraid I'll just fail again.
