I am Jen's husband of 19 years and a father of five awesome kids. I've been in pastoral and worship ministry in the local church for 20+ years and still serve in our local church. In 2017 my wife and I responded to a call to become missionaries to the American family. We founded a ministry called Family Field Guide to equip and encourage Christian parents to confidently and joyfully disciple their kids in the home.
In 2023, I founded Whetstone a ministry which exists to capture and heal the souls of Christian husbands and fathers so they can be set free to lead their families and build God's kingdom with boldness.
My passion comes from my own story of brokenness and redemption that began with the tragic loss of my father in a plane crash when I was five.
In the many years since, God has fathered, saved and healed me in so many miraculous ways.

CUP + FILTER: TEACHING MEN A POWERFUL METHOD TO QUIET THE NOISE AND HEAR GOD'S VOICE
Many of us are up in the middle of the night hearts pounding and minds racing and we don't know how to shut it down. Then, the voices from our past and present - lies, insecurities, overwhelming to-do lists, crippling fears - wake us in the morning shouting for our attention.
We ask ourselves, "Where is the peace that Jesus promised? Will it ever come again or is this just the way life is going to be from now on?"
To help men who are in this place, I teach men a simple practice called, Cup+Filter, that shows them how to take their thoughts captive and make them obedient to Christ.
It is a practical and fresh way to tune in to the life-giving voice of the Lord instead of the tired old lies they've been listening to.
It gives men clear steps to escape the inner chaos and re-discover their God-proclaimed identity and purpose.
